Position: Market Director, Environmental Services

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Creates and implements the EVS strategic plan for the Market and EVS department in alignment with the overall organizational plan.
• Within the Market, hardwires the EVS departmental mission and vision statement: Educate our People, Quality Service, Understanding Deliverables, Integrity in Serving Others, Pursue Excellence (EQUIP), objectives, scope of services, and KPI targets.
• Formulates the EVS budget and capital needs in collaboration with finance, local Leadership, the EVS Division Director, and productivity stakeholders.
• Monitors and validates the EVS Dashboard, including but not limited to key performance indicator initiatives in Finance/Stewardship, Quality/Safety/Efficiency, Patient Experience, and Employee Engagement.
• Develops and initiates a comprehensive waste management program in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including goals, operational requirements, reporting procedures, manifests, and documentation for all forms of waste, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, standards, and professional standards related to workspace design, labor, transport, and the maintenance and operations of environmental services.
• Conducts quarterly EVS performance reviews in collaboration with the EVS Division Director.
• Secures cleaning contractors for offsite care buildings, as applicable and in collaboration with the EVS Division Director and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment with competencies that meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees the performance of all contractors for external care sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Required - 5 years of experience in Environmental Services and/or hospital-related services.
• Preferred – 7 years of experience at a Director or Manager level, particularly in managing staff.
• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred.
• Proficient in Google Workspace required; MS Project, PM software, and EVS software systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Proficient in OSHA, TJC, DOT, and CDC Policy and Standard Work development/implementation preferred.
