Job Summary

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving FusionSite’s OSHA and EPA compliance programs. This role will lead all efforts to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce environmental risk, prevent workplace injuries, and support a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.

The EHS Manager will develop and manage policies, training programs, audits, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will act as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) for OSHA, EPA, and environmental permitting and reporting requirements. This role reports to the Safety Director.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s OSHA and EPA compliance programs; ensure alignment with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain environmental programs including but not limited to: hazardous waste management, SPCC plans, stormwater compliance, chemical inventory management, Tier II reporting, and waste minimization efforts.
  • Conduct internal audits of workplace safety and environmental compliance programs. Identify deficiencies and lead corrective actions to resolution.
  • Partner with operations to conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Manage and maintain OSHA-required documentation, including 300/300A logs, hazard communication plans, SDS and EAP management.
  • Lead safety training programs including new hire onboarding, annual refresher training, site-specific procedures, and emergency response.
  • Design and analyze environmental and safety metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, and present findings to leadership monthly and quarterly.
  • Build and maintain safety and environmental data sets to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for OSHA and EPA compliance, safety performance, and environmental risk reduction.
  • Provide regular reporting and dashboards to executive leadership and field operations on compliance status, incident trends, and risk exposure.
  • Develop site inspection checklists, audit protocols, and risk assessments for workplace safety and environmental programs.
  • Support waste management operations with environmental permitting, transport manifesting, and compliance recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies during inspections, reporting, and permitting processes.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and environmental impact reduction strategies.
  • Travel to field locations for site audits, training, and inspections up to 40%.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910) and Construction (29 CFR 1926) standards.
  • Working knowledge of EPA regulations including RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA, and applicable state environmental regulations.
  • Experience managing environmental permitting, hazardous waste programs, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills to conduct incident investigations and regulatory audits.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage safety and environmental data sets for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Experience developing KPIs and reporting safety and environmental performance to leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver training and guidance across diverse teams.
  • Ability to interpret technical regulations and translate them into operational procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and safety management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Environment Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field
  • 4+ years of growing responsibilities in workplace health, safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certificate Preferred, preferred
  • HAZWOPER Certified

Physical Requirements

  • Able to maintain high proficiency and job standards while working in non-temperature controlled environments that includes exposure to heat, high humidity, and inclement weather
  • Able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels
  • Able to use hand trucks, stairs, ramps, and docks.
  • Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
