Responsibilities: As our Insurance Coordinator, you'll be the go-to expert in all things insurance—working directly with patients and insurance companies to ensure claims are filed accurately and benefits are maximized. You'll play a vital role in helping patients understand their financial options while supporting our team behind the scenes. Responsibilities include:

• Verify orthodontic insurance benefits prior to patient consultations
• Accurately file and track insurance claims and pre-authorizations
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status, payments, and denials
• Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Explain insurance coverage and payment plans to patients clearly and compassionately
• Collaborate closely with the front desk, treatment coordinator, and financial team
• Maintain updated patient insurance records in our practice management software

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in dental/orthodontic insurance billing (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of insurance terminology and claim procedures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently
• A positive, professional demeanor and team-first mindset
• Familiarity with Dolphin software is a plus
