SGA is currently hiring Event Coordinators and Managers in Lincoln, Nebraska

Current Needs are Home Games For the Nebraska Cornhuskers. September 6th is the first game

As we gear up for an exciting season, we are currently seeking dedicated Event Managers/Coordinators to join our dynamic team in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Position Summary:
The Event Manager/Coordinator will play a pivotal role in organizing and executing our team's services for the Nebraska Cornhuskers' home games. This position requires a highly organized individual who can ensure smooth operations and deliver an exceptional experience for our clients and staff during each game.

Key Responsibilities:

Venue Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with venue staff and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with staff to monitor performance and address any issues.

Client Liaison:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, goals, and preferences.
  • Provide timely updates to clients to ensure alignment with their expectations.

On-Site Management:

  • Oversee event operations on game day, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Manage staff and volunteer coordination to guarantee a seamless event experience.

Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-event assessments to gather feedback and evaluate success metrics for continual improvement.

Organization & Time Management:

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines efficiently.

Communication:

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, tailored for interactions with clients, vendors, and staff.

Problem-Solving:

  • Utilize proactive and reactive problem-solving skills to tackle challenges that may arise during event execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven event management or coordination, preferably in a hospitality or sports environment
  • College students with summer experience in hospitality as a server, manager, or bartender are welcome to apply
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Availability to work during home games, including weekends.
