How You’ll Make an Impact
Dudek is seeking a hands-on EH&S Manager to be a part of our growing team to support and implement environmental health and safety initiatives across our firm and serving as the main POC for our Northern California offices and field operations. As part of a three-person EH&S team, this position plays a critical regional role in training, incident response, compliance, supporting field teams, and driving continuous safety improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Regional EH&S Oversight
  • Serve as the primary EH&S contact for Northern California, including field teams, project managers, and offices.
  • Support the implementation of firmwide safety initiatives, adapting approaches to meet local needs and conditions.
  • Conduct field safety visits and audits to monitor compliance and reinforce a culture of safety.
  • Track metrics and ensure compliance with the Company, Client, State, and Federal requirements.
Metrics & Program Support
  • Assist in EHS program development, review, and implementation.
  • Manage EH&S data tracking for incidents, training, observations, and leading indicators.
  • Analyze regional safety trends and contribute to monthly and quarterly EH&S reporting.
  • Support the Director and Southern California Manager in maintaining and improving companywide safety metrics and dashboards.
  • Manage various client portals with document, data, and training requirements.
  • Assist EHS team in tracking client training requirements on client portals and assign training as needed.
Compliance & Training
  • Ensure Northern California operations comply with federal, state, and local EH&S regulations (including Cal/OSHA).
  • Coordinate and assign safety training in client portals and internal systems.
  • Provide SME support to teams developing HASPs.
Incident Response & Investigation
  • Lead and support incident investigations for the firm and ensure corrective actions are completed utilizing various investigation techniques and practices to identify root causes, potential controls, and system improvements for various practices.
  • Provide documentation and follow-up related to workers’ compensation cases in collaboration with the EH&S team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates, Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in environmental health and safety.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation laws.
  • Basic understanding of Hazard recognition, controls, and program implementation.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in managing and improving EH&S programs in a distributed, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to influence and motivate others toward safe behavior.
  • Experience working with safety management software, training tracking systems, and client portals.
  • Professional certification(s) such as CSP, ASP, OHST, or CHST preferred.
  • OSHA Certifications:
    • OSHA 510/511
    • OSHA 30 Hour certification
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 annually.*
*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

Working Conditions:
Environment
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job may also require occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.

  • Working on a computer, sitting, or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.
  • Attending meetings, both in person and virtually, and speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking across uneven terrain or work sites.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments subject to:
  • Heat and cold exposure in varying seasonal temperatures.
  • Adverse weather conditions including rain, wind, and dust.
  • Occasional work in environments with limited shelter or shade.
