Job Description

Salary: $44,200 - 79,900 per year Requirements:

  • A TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Profound understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and extensive knowledge in specialized functions.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues effectively.
  • Experience in defining project planning techniques to ensure visibility on contractual obligations and milestones.
  • Ability to develop budgets and schedules to meet project requirements and monitor performance to achieve cost and timeline goals.
Responsibilities:
  • I will oversee database performance, employing tuning strategies and optimizing queries for enhanced efficiency.
  • I will establish and execute dependable backup and disaster recovery plans, testing processes to ensure recoverability in case of failures.
  • I will manage database security by controlling user access, privileges, and authentication methods, implementing data encryption and security controls to protect sensitive information.
  • I will analyze performance metrics and work to identify potential bottlenecks, employing database partitioning and caching techniques to enhance performance.
  • I will partner with developers to design, create, and implement database schemas alongside application components.
  • I will ensure smooth database deployment and manage version control processes effectively.
  • I will proactively monitor the health of databases using performance tools, promptly addressing incidents and troubleshooting issues to implement effective solutions, including conducting root cause analyses to mitigate recurring problems.
  • I will maintain thorough documentation regarding database configurations and procedures, generating reports on performance and maintenance activities while providing regular updates to management on database status.
