Job Title: Cost Specialist

Location: IA

Pay Range: $60 - $70/hr

Per Diem: GSA

Target start date / availability: ASAP interview and start

• RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Track and monitor project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost reports, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts based on project requirements and timelines.
• Review and analyze cost variances, identifying trends and potential areas of concern.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to address cost-related issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure all project costs are allocated correctly and align with the established budget.
• Support invoice review and approval processes to ensure alignment with project scope and agreements.
• Maintain organized records of financial documentation, including contracts, change orders, and payment records.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost management, with a focus on data center or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Expertise in E-Builder for cost management, contract tracking, and budget documentation is required
• Proficiency in cost management software and tools, such as Procore, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
