About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Mobile Device Reverse Engineer to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.  In this position you will p erform a combination of software design, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.

Responsibilities may include:

• Develop software capabilities taking into account the underlying hardware on which they run
• Optimize algorithms and software implementations in order to meet requirements such as binary size, utilization, and performance
• Perform Agile development, accurately estimating the time to complete tasks
• Respond to time-sensitive operational requirements
• Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and methods to evade such detection
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products (e.g. unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests)
• Develop software implants that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots
• Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs made, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks
• Develop, find flaws in, and modify complex algorithms that span multiple layers of abstraction
• Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software engineering / reverse engineering / vulnerability research experience
• iOS development experience
• Binary reverse engineering experience
• Expertise with the C, ARM assembly programming languages​
• Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
